New Adult Care Worker and Lead Care Worker Apprenticeship Standards – Q Training (Bristol) Ltd has applied to be an Endpoint Assessment Centre for the new standards.
Q Training (Bristol) Ltd has applied to be an Endpoint Assessment Centre for the new Apprenticeship Standards which are expected to replace the Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships for Health and Social Care during 2017.
New Apprenticeship standards have already been approved and in operation for other industries and once approval has been finalised for the new standards for Adult Social Care they will become available to learners and their employers and will replace the current apprenticeship framework.

Medal for Excellence for Q Training (Bristol) Ltd Learner - Stephanie Thurston
Stephanie Thurston who, when she achieved her Level 3 Diploma was a Senior Support Worker with Chescombe Trust has become Q Training (Bristol) Ltd's latest winner of a City and Guilds Medal for Excellence and was presented with her Medal and her certificate at a celebration held at Chescombe Lodge on 29th March 2016. Stephanie was awarded her Medal to recognise the quality of the evidence she gathered for her diploma, the attention to detail she gives to her work and her commitment to the people she supports. Stephanie was also one of three learners shortlisted for FE Learner of the Year at the City and Guilds Lions Awards later in July 2016. The high quality of teaching and assessment by Q Training (Bristol) Ltd was also acknowledged with a special certificate by City and Guilds.
In 2015, Jacqui Harrison (pictured right) of Milestones Trust won a Medal of Excellence for her outstanding portfolio of evidence for the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Jacqui's evidence showed evidence of the leadership she gives to the home she manages, the fact that she is never content merely to meet the requirements for the diploma and of her innovative approach to management. She was awarded her medal at a ceremony at the SS Great Britain.
Jacqui's Q Training Assessor, Mary Webb (pictured left) also won a Medal for Excellence recognising the high quality of her teaching and assessing. Mary is a vastly experienced and versatile assessor and teacher but she is also an experienced and committed social care practitioner. She says, " I enjoy supporting people to learn new skills and knowledge and recognise how well they working."
In 2014, Vivian Kamalu of Chescombe Trust and Tina Connolly of Freeways Trust were each awarded City and Guilds Medals for Excellence recognising their outstanding work.
