Positive Behavioural Support Awareness (half day)

Our course is based on Positive behavioural support which Skills for Care regard as the best way of supporting people who display, or are at risk of displaying, behaviour which challenges services. Course participants will

  • Learn the main features of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS)
  • Discuss likely triggers/risk factors for behaviours that challenge
  • Apply principles of PBS to address those triggers and risk factors
  • Learn effective ways to help service users to become calm if their behaviours challenge
  • Reflect on the effect behaviours that challenge have upon staff
